NATIONAL FAMILY PRAYER MONTH LAUNCHES JANUARY 2017
Families Are Encouraged to Take the “31-Day Prayer Challenge” And See their Family Transformed

PHOENIX, AZ, November 17, 2016 – BridgeBuilders International and a coalition of churches, ministries, and media outlets are launching National Family Prayer Month, a nationwide, grassroots campaign to encourage families to take “The 31-Day Prayer Challenge” to pray together every day during the month of January.

Cheryl Sacks, co-founder of BridgeBuilders International, is the author of a new book, The Prayer Saturated Family, How to Change the Atmosphere in Your Home Through Prayer. The book is National Family Prayer Month’s official resource and includes a 31-Day Prayer Guide full of creative ideas, prompts and Scripture-based prayers to help jumpstart and develop the prayer life of families across the nation.

“Praying together deepens relationships, alleviates fighting and strengthens family ties more than any single thing you can do,” Sacks said. “We’ve seen that as families pray together and welcome the presence of God into their homes, they experience healing and transformation.”

Sacks points out that society is positively impacted by family prayer. However, when millions of families no longer pray together daily, the result is an increasingly secularized culture, pressure on families and marriages, and a young generation that often falls away from the faith in which they were raised.

Organizers say the goal of National Family Prayer Month is not only to see individual families revitalized but to ignite a nationwide Family Prayer Movement and ultimately national spiritual awakening.
